Dear Yvette,

You were betrayed. Sold out. Lied about. Imprisoned. Your life shattered. Yet God was building your destiny all along. What if your greatest pain becomes your greatest purpose?

God rules over our life, and we can see this through Joseph.

Joseph would not have become a leader over Egypt under Pharaoh if he had not been sold into slavery. This journey began when Joseph became a slave in Potiphar's home. A false accusation sent him to prison. Yet when Joseph interpreted Pharaoh's dream and revealed God's plan for the coming famine, Pharaoh made Joseph ruler over his house and all the people to oversee it.

Eventually, his brothers came to Joseph for grain during the famine.

When reconciliation occurred between Joseph and his brothers, it was deeply emotional.

Joseph held no ill will toward his brothers despite the suffering he endured. He forgave them completely.

Joseph's story teaches us something profound. The wrongs done to us can become the vehicle for our growth. God uses our struggles to mature us and create situations that move us toward His purpose for our lives.

What if we could see our pain differently? Can we recognize how it helps us grow? Can it lead us to where God needs us to be?
